This is peak time for 15 - 20,000 Elegant Tundra Swans, 300 - 400,000 Colorful Ducks & Geese, Lots of Bald Eagles and Hawks, and many other kinds of birds!

Highlights

  • Half - Day Field Trips - Sat. afternoon and Sun. Morning - to MN, WI and IA - led by top birders

  • Half - Day Boat Excursions - on Sat. afternoon & Sun. morning in Mississippi Explorer Cruises (heated boats) - you must first register for the birding festival (either by pre-registration or at the festival)

    • Captain Jack's staff will be there at a separate table to assist you in signing up for Boat Excursions.  Payment for the cruise is payable at that time. - Reservations are on a First Come, First Served Basis.

  • Talks by Experts on Waterfowl, Birds of Prey, Tundra Swans, etc. on Friday night, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon.

  • Door-Prizes & Gift Certificates - various Artists and other Vendors throughout Festival

  • Delicious Homemade Sourdough Pancake Breakfast - Available on Saturday and Sunday Mornings at the Lansing United Methodist Church, 490 Center Street.

  • Special Buffet Dinner on Saturday evening (Nov. 10 @ 6:00 pm) in New Albin.

    • Held at the New Albin Community Center

    • Catered by Clancy's Supper Club
