    • Non-profit and fundraising exemptions
      • The Lansing Farmers Market currently allots up to 2 vendor spots per market for nonprofits, schools or other community clubs to fundraise for an event or cause. The Lansing Farmers Market Board meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month and will vote on approval of the application at those times. The Lansing Farmers Market maintains its right to deny a booth for any cause. Potential fundraising booths must adhere to the policies and protocols outlined in the application above and Farmers Market Rules. Additionally, any organization wishing to sell or fundraise at the market must sell a good or product that is made by said organization or a member of said organization.

    History of the Farmers Market

    The Lansing Farmers Market was restarted by Daniel Wagner, a high school senior in 2021. Daniel worked on creating the farmers market as part of his coursework in the entrepreneurship class with Ian Zahren at Kee High School. As a result of this incredible work, the Lansing Farmers Market received the Iowa Development Award for Best Small Placemaking Activity in the whole state! Congrats!


    Why the Farmers Market was Created:

    • In hopes of helping the community and providing a great option for fresh and local products to support locals and grow local businesses!
    • Hopes to increase foot traffic to help local businesses and economic growth.
    • Support local farmers and makers so they have a place to sell and locals have fresh products to purchase as well.
